A variety of in person and online events will take place next week at the Brentwood Library.

Medicare Made Simple is a free online event at 6 p.m. where Craig Long will share a presentation designed for those turning 65 and older who need to make a decision on Medicare, and would like to be more educated during what can be an overwhelming time. Registration online here.


A free Financial Workshop You Say Tomato: A couples guide to aligning your individual visions of retirement and personal finance will take place at noon. Register online here.

League of Women Voters Presentation will take place at 1 p.m. featuring guest speaker Hedy Weinberg, Executive Director for the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee.

Weinberg will speak about the ACLU-TN whose mission is to protect and promote the guarantees of the Bill of Rights and the Tennessee Constitution. They use a range of strategies including advocacy, coalition building, legislative lobbying, public education, policy research, and litigation. Register online here.

CrafterZOOM will take place at 4 p.m. where online participants aged 7-12 can meet up online and create crafts using common household items! Watch links will be emailed to registered participants an hour before the program begins. Register online here.

A free online Social Security Workshop will take place at 6 p.m. where attendees will learn about types of benefits, best age to claim, how benefits are taxed, and other important considerations that could make significant differences in lifetime payments. Register online here.


An emergency Red Cross Blood Drive will take place at 11 a.m. to help battle current blood shortages. Registration is required, with the ability to schedule an online appointment here by entering the sponsor code CityofBrentwood. For more information click here


Gentle Yoga will take place at 9 a.m. with a focus on breath and mindfulness, this class is appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice utilizing blocks and straps. Question Corner is a virtual program where every other week, Miss Stephanie will answers all of your children's reference questions! What do firefighters do? Where do clouds come from? We'll browse our non-fiction section and find out together! You can view past episodes here.
