Monday

Brentwood Mah Jongg Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. and all Mah Jongg players are welcome to attend. Bring a set if you have one. 

Crafting Power Hour will take place at 4 p.m. Join us for a craft! Let's get together and learn a new craft, each Crafting Power Hour will be a new project! Register online here.

Teen Investing Club

Teen Investing Club will take place at 4:30 p.m. Are you interested in learning about the stock market, inflation and investing? Are you in either middle or high school? If so, this club is for you! Register online here.

Scholastic Chess Club will take place at 5 p.m. Learn and play chess with a Nashville Chess Center coach. Coach Tiffany will guide kids in the beginning, intermediate and advanced strategies, no matter their skill or experience level! Boards are included, as well as a Gold membership to chesskid.com.
 
Sign up for the whole month of classes for $40 (please register your child for each date) or $10 for individual drop-in classes. Payment will be collected at the beginning of class. They accept exact cash or check payable to the Brentwood Library. Visa and Master Cards are accepted with an additional processing fee. Register online here.
 
Tuesday

Gentle Yoga with Deb will take place at 10 a.m. Breathe, relax, stretch and release! This class incorporates slow, opening stretches and mindful use of the breath to prepare the body for a gentle moving asana flow, followed by a soothing cool down and savasana. This class has a $5 fee and registration is available online here.

Pre-School Story Time will take place at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Story Time is back! Come to the Story Time Room and enjoy a short tale. No registration required.

Red Cross Blood Drive will take place at 11 a.m. The Library is hosting blood drives to battle current shortages. To schedule an appointment, log onto redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: CityofBrentwood. Registration is required to give blood.

Teen Autumn Nature Walk will take place at 4 p.m. Learn about foraging and the plants and trees surrounding the library in fall with Lindsay Dyer, Assistant Circulation Supervisor, and nature enthusiast. You will receive a reminder email before the event about where to meet for the walk. Register online here.

Genealogy: Proving Ancestors Through DNA will take place at 6 p.m. Are you descended from royalty? We might not be able to prove that, but there are ways to use DNA to prove relationships to others. This class will explore tools that help with this and the science behind it. Register online here.

Thursday

Feldenkrais: Movement for Comfort and Ease will take place at 1 p.m. The Feldenkrais method is claimed to reorganize connections between the brain and body and so improve body movement and psychological state. This class has a $5 fee. Register online here.

Friday

Gentle Yoga with Kim will take place at 9 a.m. With a focus on breath and mindfulness, this class is appropriate for those who want a softer, slow-paced, relaxing practice. This class has a $5 fee and registration is available online here.

Storytime with the TN State Museum will take place at 10:30 a.m. Children of all ages are invited to join Morgan from the Tennessee State Museum for Storytime. Morgan will read Sequoyah to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. Walk-ins are welcome! Register online here.
 
Illustrator Visit with Mary Uhles will 11:30 a.m. Children of all ages are invited to join illustrator Mary Uhles to learn what it takes to be an illustrator and create an illustration. Register online here.

Tranquili-Tea will take place at 3 p.m. Families are invited to use their creativi-TEA at this FREE program presented by Three Sisters Tearoom. Attendees will look at two pieces of fine art, discuss them, and end with a real tea party (organic herbal tea, light finger foods). Each family will take home a copy of the Three Sisters art book. Teen Game Club

Teen Game Club will take place at 2 p.m. Join us for Teen Game Club, where teens can play different board games, card games and other tabletop games on Sunday afternoons. Register online here.

Crushing the College Admissions Process will take place at 4 p.m. Whether you’re just starting out or well on your way to a finished application, you’ll leave this program with practical tips for writing your essay, showcasing your strengths, and mastering the admissions process.
