It’s been a pretty great year for Ravenwood quarterback Brian Garcia.
The Raptors are 7-1 this season and have one of the most explosive offenses in the state.
They faced a tough test over the last two weeks with head coach Matt Daniels away but kept the ship afloat.
They remain in firm contention for a Class AAA state berth and are really beginning to play their best football.
A lot of that is owed to Garcia, who went for 197 yards in the air and for all three of Ravenwood’s touchdowns in its 24-7 win against Christ Presbyterian Academy Thursday night. He also rushed for 52 yards.
The Raptors are lucky to have Garcia playing the best football of his career in his senior stand, and he’s one the driving forces behind why this team is just so formidable week in and week out.
Ravenwood’s journey will just be getting started once November starts and playoffs come, and they might just have what they need this year to go the distance if they continue to keep getting better.
Garcia is, of course, a key player there. His soaring Friday on the road makes him our City Cafe Player of the Week.
FRA’s Jeffrey Vercher, a clear candidate for Williamson County Football Player of the Year, had 126 yards and a score in the Panthers’ key win over BGA.
CPA’s Maverick Rodriguez had 84 yards and a touchdown in the team’s loss.
Page’s QB Cade Walker rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns, and threw for 99 yards and a touchdown in the team’s win against Centennial.
Nolensville QB Ryder Galardi threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another in the team’s win against Glencliff.
