Boyle Company is hosting an informal “Remembering 9/11” event at the Mooreland Mansion at noon on Sept. 11, according to a release.

The Mayor of Brentwood and first responders will be attending, and nonprofit Serve & Protect’s CEO Rob Michaels will offer the invocation.

More from the release:

We want to spend a few minutes thanking our firemen, police officers and all the veterans that serve our country and those that lost their lives.

Of those who perished during the initial attacks and the subsequent collapses of the towers, 343 were New York City firefighters, 23 were New York City police officers and 37 were officers at the Port Authority. A more complete report is available here.

There will be a moment of silence, singing of the National Anthem, prayer, and will end with Taps. Everyone is invited and it is open to the public so please tell your friends and family.

This event is to show appreciation and to honor those that continue to serve and those that have lost their lives serving.
