With so many holiday events coming up, one you don’t want to miss is the live concert by the Williamson County Community Band that’s coming up next week.

The band, an all volunteer group of amateur and seasoned musicians, will play from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Brentwood Library.

This inter-generational group features nearly 50 musicians ranging in age from 11 to over 90, directed by Randy Frame. Anyone is welcome to join the group with any instrument of their choice.

The band was started in 2000 and has grown and gained musical recognition and acclaim over the years across Williamson County. Averaging 12 concerts a year, they perform free indoor and outdoor concerts for the community at various venues and parks. They’ve played at The Factory, Aspen Grove, Westhaven, Crockett Amphitheatre and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

This is their first ever holiday concert at the Brentwood Library. The show is free and open to the public.

For information on joining the band, call Janey Mason at 615-302-0971 ext. 2216.

The concert at the Brentwood Library will take place in Meeting Room B. The Library is located at 8109 Concord Road.
