By RACHAEL LONG

After a fatal shooting in December left dead 25-year old Clark Cable at his home on Dozier Court, a new trial date has been set for two defendants in his shooting death.

Both charged with first degree murder, defendants Lyndsey Grace Bronston, 18, and Dustin William Russell, 24, will see a jury trial through the Williamson County criminal court system beginning on Feb. 24, 2020 at 9 a.m.

Neither Bronston nor Russell made bond, which was set at $2 million and $3 million, respectively.

At about 11 p.m. on Dec. 3, Brentwood Police responded to a call about gunshots on Dozier Court. When they arrived, police found Cable’s body in an upstairs bathroom. Cable had been shot in the chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a February report by Home Page, police said Cable was shot through a window in the upstairs bathroom.

During an evidence hearing on Feb. 13, Detectives Adrian Breedlove and Dustin Miller of the Brentwood Police Department spoke under oath, relaying details of the interrogations of the two suspects.  One of the main details revealed were allegations that Bronston had been involved in prostitution.

Assistant Police Chief of the Brentwood Police Department Tommy Walsh told Home Page Wednesday that no additional details about the December incident would be released during a pending trial.

Bronston faces seven charges, including first degree murder, tampering with evidence and reckless endangerment involving a deadly weapon. Russell faces just as many charges, but those charges brought against the latter defendant do not include tampering with evidence.

A criminal motions hearing is scheduled for Bronston on Nov. 13, 2019. A subsequent plea hearing is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2020.

Circuit Court Judge Deanna B. Johnson will preside over the trial in February.
