District girls soccer finals set for Brentwood, Ravenwood Thursday
The Brentwood Lady Bruins and Ravenwood Lady Raptors are set to square off in their district finals Thursday at Independence High School.
Brentwood got a 1-0 win against Franklin Tuesday night, while Ravenwood had a 1-0 win over Indy.
Ravenwood saw its coach, Brandon Mead, named the district's Coach of the Year in his first season.
Game time for the season's latest is set for 7 p.m. at IHS.
Page girls soccer blanks Nolensville in extra time
It took getting to penalty kicks, but Page High School's girls soccer team got a district semifinals win against Nolensville in a 4-3 decision.
They'll face Murfreesboro Central Magnet Thursday night at home for the district championship.
CPA, BGA, GCA all ready for region semis and finals
Christ Presbyterian Academy, Battle Ground Academy and Grace Christian Academy are all set for their region tournament after breezing through the quarterfinals.
GCA will face University School of Nashville at USN Thursday at 5 p.m., while CPA will head to BGA to play at 7 p.m.
BGA volleyball reaches Elite 8
BGA's volleyball team took down Trinity Christian Academy in five sets (30-28, 19-25, 9-25, 25-19, 15-12) Tuesday to advance to their Elite 8.
They'll face King's Academy Friday at 2 p.m. on the road to see if they can make the state final four.
Lipscomb Academy volleyball reaches sub-state
The Lipscomb Academy Lady Mustangs are a game away from the state tournament.
They topped GPS in four sets (25-17, 21-25, 25-19, 25-18) to reach a road game with Knoxville Catholic Saturday.
The winner will be one of four teams in D-II AA to reach the state level.
