Fresh off his time on the NIT runner-up Lipscomb Bisons team, former Franklin Road Academy standout Rob Marberry will keep his hoops career alive in Estonia.

Marberry’s mother shared her son’s Instagram post that indicated he was heading to Pärnu, Estonia, to play in the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League.

“On to the next chapter,” she shared in the message. “So very proud of this hard-working guy! Congratulations on your first Pro Contract in Estonia!”

He’ll be playing with KK Paulus Pärnu, who confirmed the signing Wednesday.

Marberry was a pivotal member of the Bisons 2018-19 team, one of the school’s best in its history. Though they fell short of an NCAA Tournament appearance, they reached the NIT finals after an inspired run.

He was a former D-II AA Mr. Basketball winner for his contributions with FRA.

Marberry spent time in the Nashville Pro-Am league this summer.

His Bisons teammate Garrison Mathews is NBA-bound with a two-way contract set with the Washington Wizards, and his old FRA teammate and former Bisons guard Kenny Cooper has transferred to Western Kentucky.
