Heavy rains hit Williamson County Tuesday night, with smaller showers continuing throughout Wednesday morning and afternoon.

By mid-morning Wednesday, much of the worst flooding was gone. Main streets in both Brentwood and Nolensville had been cleared and standing water in roadways had subsided.

Creeks, rivers and other streams of water were still high, however, and many nearby fields and community areas had standing water.

The latest forecast showed lighter showers for Thursday, more rain volume on Friday, and thundershowers Saturday. Sunday … so far … is expected to be partly cloudy only.
