Local middle school athletes can learn from Ravenwood High School’s top cross country expert at an upcoming camp.

Raptors cross country coach Pete Mueller will oversee the school’s 2019 Middle School Summer Running Camp, set for two-week installments starting July 15 and going through July 26.

The camps will edify young runners on proper workouts and drills, resistance training, tips for warm-up and cool down runs and nutrition. Camp groups are available for all levels of running experience.

Camps go from Monday through Thursday at RHS from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and on Fridays at Vaughn’s Creek at Percy Warner Park from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Other Ravenwood high school athletes and alumni will be on hand to assist Mueller with the coaching.

Each week costs $50 for the camper and payment information can be found on the camp’s flyer. Camp t-shirts are included.
