Jim Moore, son of Todd and Christine Moore, is a senior at Brentwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
Moore is very involved in TV and Film at BHS and has been awarded with multiple accolades including: TV/Film Level 1 Best News Package and Best Short Film, and TV/Film Level 2 Best Documentary. He was also named a National Merit Commended Student.
When he’s not pursuing his academic passions, Moore said his other passion is tacos.
One of his top role models is his grandfather, Jerry. He said he admired him because he was “smart, humble and generous.”
His favorite class at BHS is AP Psychology with Dr. White. Moore said it keeps him interested and hopes to study the subject in college.
Moore describes himself as analytical, humorous and an introvert. When he has free time, he spends it participating in his church’s youth group, singing in the church chorus and working with WBHS Film Crew. He is also a member of DECA.
BHS TV Pro teacher, Ronnie Adcock, said of him, “Jim is a fun student to be around… Very dry wit. He’s very quiet until you get to know him. It’s been a pleasure having him for four years in TV and Film.
BHS English teacher, Matt Grimes, said, "Jim Moore is an understated individual whose intellect and quick wit are surpassed only by his knowledge of all things Tarantino."
After graduating from BHS, he plans to go to college to study marketing and psychology.
