On Thursday afternoon, police in Phoenix, Arizona arrested two people suspected of shooting and killing a man in Brentwood last week.

Lyndsey Bronston, 18, and Dustin Russell, 24, were arrested at about 2:30 p.m. Central Time. Police say information from a tip led to their capture.

Now, they will be transported back to Tennessee where they will be formally charged.

At about 11 p.m. on Monday, December 3, Brentwood Police officers responded to a 911 call about a shooting at a house on Dozier Court in the Brenthaven subdivision.

The Police Department believes the suspects drove up, shot multiple times into the house and then fled.

Clark Cable, 25, died from a gunshot wound to the chest at the house. Police believe he was specifically targeted. There were other family members in the house when the shooting happened, but they weren’t harmed.

On December 11, the Brentwood Police Department said in a press release that it obtained arrest warrants for Bronston and Russell. The release also identified the car police thought they were driving, including a license plate number.

The Police Department has released few details not included in those press releases. Brentwood Assistant Police Chief Tommy Walsh couldn’t say much about the investigation, but said the department established probable cause linking these suspects to the murder.

Neither suspect is from Williamson County and Walsh said he didn’t believe the department had ever encountered them before.

Walsh declined to answer questions about how the department linked the suspects to the crime or what weapon was used.
