The Brentwood-based Reliant Bank plans to open a full-service retail branch in Murfreesboro by the end of the month.

The bank is headquartered in the Cool Springs area. It already has branches in Davidson, Robertson, Sumner, Williamson, Maury and Hickman Counties.

It had a loan and deposit production office in Rutherford and Hamilton counties, but the new branch will be the first retail location.

In a press release, the bank says it already has many commercial and business clients in the area.

Reliant Executive Vice President Kim York called Rutherford County one of the fastest growing economies in the state.

“Rutherford County provides a great opportunity to expand our presence in both the business and consumer segments,” she said.

Customers will have access to commercial and consumer lending, mortgage lending, investment services, and a full retail staff. In addition to lobby access, the branch will offer a drive-thru, ATM and night deposit.

On August 7, the bank announced that it had hired Richard Stone to guide the expansion into Rutherford. Stone previously worked with JP Morgan Chase and Co. and Avenue Bank.
