The Franklin based artificial intelligence company Digital Reasoning hired a new vice president to oversee business with health care companies.
Chris Cashwell will lead a team that hopes to sell artificial intelligence technology to health care companies.
In a press release, Digital Reasoning’s Chief People Officer called the health care industry the next frontier for the company’s technology. The company also works with companies in the financial industry and with governmental organizations focused on security.
Before coming to Digital Reasoning, Cashwell led health care companies, mostly recently serving as the CEO of Lincor Solutions. That company, based in Brentwood, makes software used by doctors and patients.
Cashwell also worked at Nuance Healthcare, a company that uses artificial intelligence in the health care industry.
According to a press release, in his previous roles Cashwell focused on growing business models with recurring revenue and expanding uses for software that can understand natural language in health care.
