The Franklin health care software company MEDHOST has appointed two new executives.

MEDHOST provides software to handle electronic health records. The company also provides solutions for clinical, financial and patient engagement services. 

Both of the new executive appointments come from within the company.

The company promoted Jason Myers to Chief Information Officer. Myers will define and deliver the company’s IT strategy and capabilities. He has worked at MEDHOST since 2013. Most recently he was the Vice President of IT and Cloud Services.

MEDHOST also reported that it promoted Rick Brown to the role of Chief Development Officer. In that role, Brown will lead the company product development strategy.

Brown has been working at MEDHOST since the 1990s. He started as a software programers, and was one of the company’s early employees.
