FRANKLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT ALERT
An alert by the Franklin Police Department was sent out around 3:18 p.m. on Friday, May 31 warning residents of an ongoing police pursuit.
By 3:32 p.m., the alert had been canceled. 
A second alert indicated that the suspect that was being pursued had been taken into custody.
The initial alert said the following:
“THP [Tennessee Highway Patrol] is in pursuit in Cool Springs. The suspect has exited the vehicle and ran on/near Conference Drive on foot. Be aware of police activity and additional officers arriving in the area. No further information is currently available.
Instructions: Secure your vehicle, and do not leave it running and unattended. Call 9-1-1 if you see a suspect attempting to hide.”
