Last week, the Brentwood Police Department identified or arrested four people who were caught stealing purses, cash or clothing.

According to the police report, there were four cases of theft, one robbery and six cases of theft from a car.

Police arrested two people suspected of stealing a purse from someone who was pushing a shopping cart full of groceries in a parking lot on Franklin Road just before 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Police also identified someone suspected of stealing clothing from a store on Franklin Road and someone suspected of stealing a tip jar from a restaurant on Franklin Road. Charges are pending for those thefts.

Three people reported purses and backpacks stolen from their cars while they were parked at Crockett Park last Friday afternoon. All three cars had windows broken. The day before, someone broke a window to steal a purse from a car in Smith Park.

There were no burglaries from businesses or residences last week, no stolen cars and no vandalism.
