Brentwood Police reported a truly scary crime two weeks before Halloween.
Police suspect that someone took Halloween decorations from a home in the Fountainhead subdivision the night of October 17 or early on the morning of October 18.
In the department’s weekly crime analysis, police also report that a man with a beard and a woman in flannel shirt stole merchandise from an outdoor recreation store on Franklin Road.
The analysis also says two residents reported losing wallets while shopping at separate stores on Franklin Road.
Police didn’t report any business burglaries, residential burglaries, car thefts, vandalism or robberies. There were two reports of thefts from cars.
On Saturday October 27, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. representatives from the Brentwood Police Department and the Williamson County Anti-Drug Coalitions will be collecting unwanted prescription drugs at the Brentwood Municipal Center.
Residents can drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescriptions. However, the department cannot accept liquids or sharps, such as needles or razors.
The event will take place during the annual Komen Race for the Cure, so part of Maryland Way will be close. The police department asks residents to approach the Municipal Center from the west using Granny White Pike and Virginia Way. The race will end at noon.
