With the voter registration deadline upon us, and early voting scheduled to start in just a week, decision time has arrived.

Two separate candidate forums are set for Wednesday evening.

Candidates for Williamson County’s three seats in the Tennessee House of Representatives have been invited to share their views in a forum taking place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the county administrative complex.

The event, open to the public in the County Commission chambers, will be live-streamed on Facebook and broacast on WC-TV, the county’s public access channel, which is available on Comcast Channel 3, Charter Channel 192, United Communications 207 and AT&T U Verse 99. It also will be aired on the county’s YouTube channel after the live cablecast.

From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., four candidates for a pair of seats on the Thompson’s Station Board of Mayor and Aldermen will participate in a forum at the Town Community Center at 1550 Thompson’s Station Road W. It also is open to the public.

Two of the state House races are contested, with Rep. Charles Sargent, in District 61, running unopposed. In District 63, Republican incumbent Glen Casada faces Democrat Courtenay Rogers, and in District 65, Democrat Holly McCall vs. Republican Sam Whitson.

Candidates seeking four-year terms on the Thompson’s Station board in the Nov. 8 election are incumbent Sarah Benson and challengers Ben Dilks, John Peterson, and Brian Stover.
