FirstBank mortgage banker Donna Rumpler awarded four $1,000 scholarships to families in the Nolensville area as part of a package of scholarships awarded to families across Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

FirstBank Mortgage automatically entered customers who closed a mortgage loan in 2018 in a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship for a child, stepchild, adopted child or foster child living at home. FirstBank mortgage bankers drew one name for every 50 loans they closed.

“One of our priorities at FirstBank Mortgage is building a strong community and encouraging and supporting future leaders in Nolensville,” said Wib Evans, president of FirstBank Ventures. “The Next Generation Mortgage Scholarship helps provide financial support to the families of students pursuing a vital next step in their education.”

The winners in Nolensville are:

·         Porfirio Alfaro

·         Matthew Dobson

·         Phillip VanRavenswaay

·         Michael Tarpley

“This program was a particular vision of FirstBank Founder and Executive Chairman Jim Ayers, and we’re proud to have a leadership team that is actively advocating for the education of students,” said Lee Townsend, director of Retail Mortgage Lending at FirstBank Mortgage. “We take pride in helping people get to a better place, and that includes investing in students who are pursuing higher education. Next Generation is an extremely meaningful program for Mr. Ayers and our entire FirstBank team.”
