Sally Nwider, daughter of Michael and Reema Nwider, is a sophomore at Centennial High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
She is fluent in three languages, a member of the CHS Debate Team, achieved a 4.0 in a senior level class last year and has a passion for pediatrics.
Her biggest role models are her parents, Michael and Reema. “They’ve been through a lot in order to get me to where I am and I would love to repay them one day,” she said.
Her favorite class at CHS is biology. She said she likes it because she is very interested in the study of life.
When asked to describe herself using one word she said, “dedicated.” She added, “If there is something I’d like to achieve I’ll try my best to get it.”
CHS French Teacher Renee Kercheville said of Nwider, “[She] is an excellent student! She focuses on her work and makes an effort to participate daily in class. She is also kind and helpful to her classmates.”
After graduating from CHS in a couple of years, she plans to go to school to become a pediatrician or pharmacist.
