Blake Armour

Blake Armour, son of Leslie and John Scoutten, is a junior at Ravenwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.

He is the captain of the RHS Colorguard team and co-captain of the Fencing team.

Armour said that Colorguard is one of his biggest passions. “It teaches attention to detail and has many character building qualities,” he said.

His favorite class at RHS is JROTC. “It is a fun class that has helped me to develop my abilities as a leader and as a good citizen,” he said.

One of his biggest role models and inspirations is his father, John. Armour said he looks up to him for his work ethic and kind, respectful attitude.

RHS JROTC’s Chief Hays said of Armour, “Blake is the Raptor battalion color guard commander. He has staffed and planned over 30 events this year and even competed in several competitions. He is one of the best we have ever had and is a true ensign for Ravenwood High School and the JROTC program.

After graduating from RHS, he plans to join the Army ROTC program.
