Ella Ridlen

Freshman

Ella Ridlen, daughter of Jane and Scott Ridlen, is a freshman at Ravenwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.

She is a member of Student Council, RHS Theater, and Forensics Club. Previously, she was the captain of the Woodland Forensics Team. She also won the Forensic Award for Outstanding Competitor and MVP two years in a row.

One of her biggest passions is performing. She said, “It makes people feel something and allows people to connect to the performance.”

Her favorite teacher at RHS is Mr. Kaufman. “He is passionate about helping people succeed and cares about every student,” she said of him.

Kaufman said of Ridlen, “She is so motivated and has grown into a leader very fast! She is so respectful and is a hard worker. She has been a great addition in the classroom and on our forensics team and theater program.”

Ridlen said that of all her role models, her sister Grace is one of the most influential. She said she admires her passion in all of life and that she “is always willing to give 110%.”

After graduating from RHS, she plans to go to college to pursue a degree in education. One day she hopes to become a teacher.
