Claire Blattner

Claire Blattner, daughter of Paula and Russ Blattner, is a senior at Ravenwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.

She is a member of Student Council, Model United Nations, Youth in Government, National Arts Honors Society, National English Society, and JROTC Staff.

One of her biggest passions is service learning, where she gets to teach art to kindergarten students. “They light up my day,” she said.

Her favorite class at RHS is Greek & Roman Mythology with Mr. Crumm. “He’s a walking trivia textbook… who every day keeps a dead language and religion alive in a very interesting class.”

Blattner said that her mother, Paula, is her biggest role model and inspiration. “She taught me what it means to be brave and love what you have.”

JROTC’s Chief Hays said of Blattner, “Claire is the projects officer for the JROTC Raptor Battalion. She has organized multiple service projects and this year’s Military Ball. She is incredibly talented and has an extraordinary eye for detail.”

After graduating from RHS, she is planning to attend Tennessee Tech to major in Psychology. She hopes to one day become a clinical psychologist.
