Hieu Do

Sophomore

Hieu Do, son of Mou Pham, is a sophomore at Ravenwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.

When he was in middle school, still living in Vietnam, Do was a great student. He said that this is one of his biggest accomplishments.

One of his biggest passions outside of academia is soccer. He said he enjoys it not only because it is simply a good sport, but because it helps him maintain his health.

His favorite class at RHS is Ecology. He said he really enjoys doing research on the subject.

One of his biggest role models is his ESL teacher, Mrs. Baggett. “She is so nice and helps students wholeheartedly,” Do said.

Mrs. Baggett said of Do, “Hieu has improved his English language immensely over the last year! He is self-motivated, works hard, and tries his best in everything he does while learning content and English language at the same time. He is kind to everyone he meets. I am so proud of him and the overall growth he has shown in the last year.”

After graduating from RHS in a few years, he plans to attend college to become a veterinarian.
