Grace Bollinger

Grace Bollinger, daughter of Pamela and Chris Bollinger, is a senior at Brentwood Academy and this week’s Kerr & Co. Realty Athlete of the Week.

She is a member of the Girls Tennis Team and competes in singles and doubles.

Bollinger said she started playing tennis when she was very young because her whole family played. She said of her official start, “I played varsity tennis starting in the ninth grade and then I took a break until joining senior year.”

When asked what inspires her to continue training and competing she said, “Remembering how good I feel after training and playing keeps pulling me back to the shade-less courts and brutal heat.”

One of her biggest role models is actress and activist Emilia Clarke. Bollinger said of her, “She puts aside her own health issues and instead uses her platform for promoting justice in society and within work environments.”

She describes herself as empathetic genuine, thoughtful and inclusive. When she’s not on the court, she enjoys reading and volunteering. She is currently a volunteer leader of a girls’ counseling group, which she said has led to her love of working with children and watching them grow.

After graduating from BA, she will attend Pepperdine University to study Psychology and Social Work. One day, she hopes to become a social worker.
