Big Lots announced Monday that it is celebrating the grand opening of 17 newly remodeled stores throughout the Nashville area on Friday, July 26, 2019.
Among the stores are locations in Franklin, north of Nolensville in Tusculum, and in Columbia.
These stores will reflect a new format, which is part of a broader initiative to reposition the brand, with a greater emphasis on furniture and a more consistent mix of merchandise. The Nashville-area reopenings are part of a multi-year, market-by-market revamp of the Columbus, Ohio-based chain of more than 1,400 stores in 47 states.
Big Lots will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at all 17 area stores at 8:30 a.m. on July 26. The first 50 shoppers entering each the store on July 26 and July 27 will receive a reusable shopping bag filled with edible treats from Big Lots. In addition, the company will kick off a donation program benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, . Big Lots will donate five dollars to the local charitable organization each time a BIG Rewards loyalty member redeems a reward in Nashville area stores over the six-week period (July 26- September 7).
“We are excited to introduce our new store format to the Nashville Area,” Steve Haffer, senior vice president chief customer officer of Big Lots, said in a press release announcing the reopenings. “It brings to life our new brand traits and showcases our product assortments of affordable solutions in furniture, seasonal, home, food, and consumables. We are also very proud to serve alongside the Nashville community with our support of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.”
The store located at 2301 Gallatin Pike North, Madison, TN 37115 will be the epicenter of the Nashville Big Lots Market Celebration and host local dignitaries, representatives from Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and other community guests at the ribbon cutting.
The Franklin store is at 209 South Royal Oaks Blvd. The south Nashville (Tusculum) store is at 5702 Nolensville Rd., and the Columbia store is at 1301 South James Campbell Blvd.
