Martin’s BBQ announced this week that it will be opening a location in Spring Hill, alongside several other restaurants.

The restaurant’s fifth Middle Tennessee home will be in Fresh Hospitality’s 3-acre site Shoppes at Spring Hill, on Wall Street between Captain D’s and AFC Urgent Care.

The 4,500-square foot space will sit next to another new restaurant.

55 South, the downtown Franklin restaurant, will also partner with Fresh Hospitality to open a second location next door.

Records on incorporation from the Tennessee show that McConnell Hospitality Group, which owns 55 South, partnered with Fresh Hospitality.

The two restaurants will share a beer garden.

Plans for the development were approved in 2014 by the Spring Hill Planning Commission.

“This is the type of local business development on Main Street I know we all can get behind,” Alderman and Planning Commissioner Jonathan Duda said. “Proud they are making the investment in Spring Hill.”

Duda shared pictures of the plans to his Facebook page Wednesday.

“These cut sheets were approved by the Spring Hill Planning Commission in October 2014,” he posted. “Proof positive that good things come to those who wait.”
