Senior citizens in the Middle Tennessee area can “get their shot at stardom” by auditioning for Morning Pointe Senior Living’s and the Morning Pointe Foundation’s second annual Seniors Got Talent competition, according to a release from Morning Pointe.
Morning Pointe assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in Brentwood, Franklin and Spring Hill are accepting reservations for spots at the upcoming “Seniors Got Talent” auditions.
Ten finalists will be chosen to perform onstage before a panel of local judges and a live audience.
Aspiring performers age 62 and older are invited to register for a free audition by calling Morning Pointe of Brentwood at (615)285-3455, Morning Pointe of Franklin at (615)614-8555 or Morning Pointe of Spring Hill at (931)451-1899. Audition registrations can be also be made online at www.morningpointefoundation.com/seniorsgottalent.
Auditions will take place on Sept. 17 at Morning Pointe of Brentwood, Sept. 19 at Morning Pointe of Franklin, and Sept. 20 at Morning Pointe of Spring Hill. All auditions will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants are not required to be Morning Pointe residents. Acts showcasing talents of all kinds are welcome but should not exceed three minutes in length.
The grand finale of “Seniors Got Talent” will be held on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at The Franklin Theatre.
Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners. Tickets for the grand finale can be purchased through the Franklin Theatre for $20.
