The Spring Hill Police Department will host a pharmaceutical drug drop off to take unnecessary medicines from the community.

SHPD will be at B&B pharmacy on Oct. 27 to collect unwanted medication.

Excess drugs pose a risk to children and other residents and should never be flushed down the toilet, where they will contaminate even treated water.

To drop off medicine, simply go to the pharmacy from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and allow the police to dispose of it free of charge.
