Dog Costume

Evans Park in Spring Hill will go to the dogs this Saturday during the Barkster Bash - an October-themed dog spooktacular featuring dog trick or treating, games, contests and more.

Organized by the Spring Hill Department of Parks and Recreation, the Barkster Bash will also feature a sack auction, with items up for grabs ranging from dog treats to water and food bowls. Tickets for the auction are $1, or 20 tickets for $15. The event will also see prizes given out to winners of the dog contests.

All funds raised from the sack auction will go towards the Pet pals of Maury County. The nonprofit organization aims to promote the well-being of pets in the county through adoption events and services such as spays and neuters.

Partners for the Barkster Bash include Veterinary Wellness Clinic of Spring Hill, Happy Tailwaggerz, Pooch Playhouse & Boarding, Petsense Columbia, Friends of Spring Hill Parks and the Pet Pals of Maury County. Organizations interested in being featured as a booth at the Barkster Bash are encouraged to contact Sonja at 931-487-0027, or via email at srine@springhilltn.org.

The event is free to attend. Evans Park is located at 563 Maury Hill St. in Spring Hill.
