Independence outside linebacker Chase Robertson will heading to one of the nation’s top Ivy League colleges after his high school football career is over.

Robertson announced Wednesday that he’s off to play for Princeton for his college ball.

“My childhood dream has come true and I am beyond grateful,” he said in his statement.

He thanked God, his family and friends and his coaches, teachers and trainers for helping him get to this moment.

“I am grateful for each and every opportunity that was extended to me,” he said. “With that being said, I am excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Princeton University!”

24/7 Sports showed that he also had offers from Harvard, Cornell, Air Force, Navy, Eastern Kentucky and Dartmouth, among other schools.

He will return to Independence in the fall to finish his senior season before joining the Tigers in fall 2020.
