Staffing and recruitment agency Randstad will be holding an open job fair Monday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. at their office in the Workforce Development Center, located at 5000 Northfield Lane, Door 400.

The event will see open positions primarily from automotive suppliers such as ATCO Industries, Ryder, Precision and MAGNA, as well as companies in other industries such as Spring Hill’s own Armada Nutrition. Open positions include forklift drivers, assemblers, quality inspectors and production workers, with pay rates ranging from $11.50 – $15.50.

Regarding Ryder, Kelly Anderson with Randstad has previously called working for the company a “great stepping stone” for those looking to break into the manufacturing industry, as the company is located directly inside the Spring Hill General Motors Plant.

“We have dealt with them for years and years here, and they’ve always been an outstanding company to work for and with,” Anderson said. “They really just want to do well in this community [and] to give a lot of the younger people – as well as the older people – but a lot of the younger people, that really want to get into this business, as far as manufacturing. So this is a great stepping stone for them to get into the plant, and there’s always other opportunities that they have once they’re in there.”

Registration for the job fair isn’t required, with interested applicants needing simply to arrive sometime between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday. Applicants may dress casually, and are asked to bring two forms of ID such as a driver’s license, social security card, birth certificate or passport. Resumes are not required either, though will be accepted and considered.
