A Bethesda-based 13U AAA travel baseball team found itself at the top of the batting order in a summer tournament.

The Bethesda Bandits brought home the silver in the 2019 USSAA Global World Series Tournament last month in Destin, Florida, competing with other teams from Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri, Texas and Georgia.

The team went undefeated into the championship round and earned a trophy and rings to commemorate its success.

The Bandits completes a 27-8 2019 spring season with the tourney title.

Coaches are Jamie Baxter and Lenny Durrough, and players are Grant Stone, Gaige Turner, Tyler Baxter, Brayden Black, Reese Jones, Preston Gentry, Nihal Kuna, David Hamilton, Grant Wooldridge, Braden Williams and CJ Durrough.
