A former Centennial football star could be sporting a new NFL hat come April.

Former Cougars standout and three-year Texas A&M linebacker Tyrel Dodson declared his intent to enter the 2019 NFL Draft process Wednesday.

Dodson was a three-star prospect at LB who played his college football down at College Station.

“As a kid growing up in Franklin, Tennessee, I never imagined attending the most prestigious program in the United States,” Dodson shared on his Twitter page in the announcement. “This program has helped me grow not only as a student-athlete, but as a human being.”

Dodson will have a chance to be drafted to his new team in Nashville, with the NFL Draft taking place in Tennessee this year.

He finished his career with the Aggies with a nine-tackle performance and a pick-six against N.C. State in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
