The Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program will be hosting an educational time for fourth through twelfth graders Saturday.

The free event, said to be a Recruitment Day for the group, is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Harpeth Scholastic Shooting Complex (HSSC).

Those who attend, the release days, will get a chance to learn about and participate in clay target shooting.

“We’re always excited to welcome and introduce new athletes to the sport,” Andrew Peercy, Tennessee SCTP manager, said via a release.

“Whether you’ve handled a firearm before or not, Recruitment Day is a safe and fun way to try the sport for the first time.”

There will be events held all over the state in conjunction with the WillCo event, and all who attend must have a parent or legal guardian present.

They say safety equipment and firearms will be provided, but any already-owned equipment is recommended to bring.
