Purdue

In a fun twist, two local athletes could be joining one of the countyโ€™s great receivers up in Indiana.

Independence receiver Chayce Bishop and Nolensville outside linebacker C.J. Ware both got offers from Purdue this week, putting them potentially in line to join former Indy standout T.J. Sheffield with the Boilermakers.

Bishop and Ware both announced the news on Twitter this week.

Bishop, a three-star recruit per 24/7 Sports, is new to Indy after transferring from Brentwood and has offers from Ball State, Northwestern, Tulane and Vanderbilt so far.

He will enter his senior season in the fall.

As for Ware, the rising senior has offers from Louisville, Memphis, Western Kentucky, Toledo and Tulane, per 24/7 Sports.

Both will be committing to schools sometime within the next year, and Sheffield is set to take the field for the Boilermakers this fall.
