The Mitchells, who reside in Franklin and in Florida, were out in downtown Franklin on Sunday morning looking for a bite to eat.

They leave for Florida in two days.

“You can see why,” Mr. Mitchell laughed, noting the 22-degree weather.

“This is old school,” he said of his full-length, raccoon fur coat, which he purchased in Colorado.

Mrs. Mitchell wore a mink coat with mink boots.

“I have a coat to match those boots, but I don’t have them here,” she said.

“Snapshot of Franklin” is a new weekly photo column intended to showcase different people who make up pieces of our town.
