The 2019 Male Athlete of the Year for Centennial High School soared on the trail and the track this season and made a commitment to a major athletics program.

Centennial’s Davis Bove had a stellar 2018-19 year for his cross country and track/field accomplishments.

In November, Bove placed fourth in the state’s overall state meet for Division I Large Class with a time of 15:45.59.

He also announced that month he would be attending LSU for college, where he’ll be a part of the Tigers’ cross country and track teams.

“I am extremely thankful that God has given me this opportunity,” he said at the time of his signing. “I am also thankful for my coaches, parents, and friends who have believed in me to help me get where I am today.”

Bove also made waves in May at Spring Fling in the D-I Large Class competition, placing second in the 1600m run (4:16.28) and third in the boys 3200m run (9:29.88).
