Franklin running back Colton Blackeis the Franklin Home Page / Newk’s Player of the Week after scoring three TDs in the 24-21 victory over Brentwood.

Black carried the ball 13 times for two touchdowns and 102 yards for a 7.85-yard average to help the Rebels stay unbeaten at 6-0. He ripped off a 55-yard scoring run in the third quarter and also had a 59-yard catch for a TD.

The senior then scored the winning 3-yard touchdown with 2:23 remaining. Black is coming off two injuries, missing all but the final game last fall and then getting hurt again in the spring.

The Rebels, who visit Summit on Thursday, are now tied for first place in District 11-AAA with Ravenwood at 2-0.

Bailey Wisniowski, Centennial: Wideout had TDs throwing (double-receiver pass for a 38-yard TD) and rushing (49-yarder; 5 rushes for 75 yards), plus two catches for 53 yards.

Ronald Cleveland, BGA: Had 2 TDs rushing (32, 72) and 2 TDs receiving (26, 21 on his only two catches); finished with 120 yards on the ground.

Gracia Katera, Franklin: Defender had four tackles, three pass breakups and the game-clinching interception with 24 seconds remaining.

Deon Sanders, Centennial: Junior RB scored twice and rushed for 102 yards on 24 in 38-35 loss to Ravenwood.

Cole Grosvenor, BGA: Accounted for 3 TDs with 9-of-11 passing for 100 yards and two scores, and 42 yards on three rushes including a TD run.

Joe Critchlow, Franklin: Junior QB completed 9 of 13 passes (69.2%) for 220 yards and two TDs including a 59-yarder, plus had a 57-yard pass play on the winning drive.

Rieves Berry, BGA: Made seven tackles (five solo) and went 2-for-2 passing for 35 yards and a TD.

Baylor Breckenridge, Page: Had 11 tackles, two sacks and an interception on defense, then ran for 108 yards on three carries including a 99-yard TD late in loss to Giles County.

Ben Hagaman, Franklin: Caught three balls for 83 yards in win over Brentwood.

Dee Hunter, Summit: Wildcat QB rushed for 144 yards on 24 carries and Spartans’ only score in loss at Dickson County.

Nick Hutchins, Franklin: Made seven tackles (five solo) and recovered a fumble.

Emanuel Hall, Centennial: Receiver had 124 yards and a TD on just three catches, along with 11 yards on three rushes.

Harris Jones, BGA: Made six tackles plus recorded an interception in 41-0 district win over Davidson Academy.
