His first touchdown came on a 25-yard run to put Centennial up 42-38 late in the third quarter.

He then scored from seven yards out in the fourth quarter to give the game’s final score.

This is the second time Sanders has earned player of the week honors this season.

Centennial (7-1, 3-1) goes on a bye before facing Dickson County on Oct. 24.

Dom Childress, Independence RB: Had 171 rushing yards, 116 receiving yards, three rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown against Centennial.

Tyrel Dodson, Centennial RB/LB: Carried the ball seven times for 153 yards and two touchdowns against Indy. He also led the team in tackles with nine (8 solo) and recorded an interception.

Malik Grimes, Franklin RB: Carried the ball five times for 113 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday’s 35-10 win over Summit.

Nate Johnson, Independence WR: Caught seven passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.

Andrew Bunch, Independence QB: Had 346 passing yards, 63 rushing yards and three touchdowns (1 run).

Myles Taylor, BGA DE: Racked up two tackles (1 for loss), one forced fumble, one sack and a pick-six.

Michael Magochy, Page QB: Passed for 230 yards and three touchdowns in 43-7 win at Fayetteville.

Owen Roth, Centennial QB: Completed 12-of-17 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns

Clay Beathard, BGA QB: Recorded 207 passing yards, 70 rushing yards and two touchdowns (1 run) in 34-28 loss against Knox Webb.

Marcus Cawthorne, BGA WR: Caught eight passes for 153 yards and one touchdown.

Brice Milam, Franklin RB: Rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns against Summit.

Garrison Mathews, Franklin TE: Caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.
